Episcopal Cathedral of St. James, South Bend, Indiana

This organ was built as a 7 rank encased instrument for the LaPorte Family Chapel at the LaPorte Hospital in 1998. Following the closure of that building, the organ was transferred to St. James Cathedral. Being designed for a 75 seat chapel, the organ was brought with the intention of a new independent Great division. We are now adding this division of 8 Great stops and one additional Pedal stop, bringing the organ to 16 ranks. The new Great/Pedal will sit behind the case you see in the photo and will fill the Cathedral with sound.
