St. James Catholic Church Falls Church, Virginia Kegg Organ Restoration
We have just completed the restoration of our instrument built in 1992 for St. James Church. This organ was demonstrated to the members of the American Institute of Organbuilders at their convention in 1993 and received much praise from fellow organbuilders at that time. Since then the organ was altered by others. It was the desire of the Church to reverse these unsuccessful changes. We are pleased to be able to return the organ to its original specification and voicing, along with adding an Oboe 8' stop of new pipes.
This organ is 15 ranks and fills a church seating close to 900 people. While the acoustic is very fine, the unusual proportion of each transept being almost as large as the nave presented particular challenges with the organ placed at the rear of the nave. Its success is due to careful but bold voicing and effective swell shades.
Our thanks to Fr. Patrick L. Posey, and Music Director Daniel Day for their support and interest in this fine instrument.
Kegg Open House
A grand time was had by all!
Featuring our new organ for St. Stephen Martyr
Our Open House on Saturday July 30 at the Kegg shop featuring our new instrument for St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church of Canton, Ohio went well with approximately 150 people attending. The new organ was enjoyed by all with many playing and seeing the new instrument, inside and out. Tours of the shop were given along with voicing and wood working demonstrations.
The new organ will be installed in February to coincide with the completion of the church's Sanctuary renovation. Included in the specification are the Chimes and Zimbelstern from Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Canton which recently merged with the St. Stephen congregation. These two distinctive stops will bring a touch of Trinity's rich musical heritage to St. Stephen's. Some pipes of the existing St. Stephen instrument have also been retained in the new organ.
We are looking forward to having this fine 12 stop organ in the Canton area.

St. Gabriel The Archangel Church Saddle River, NJ New Sancturary console installed
We have just completed the installation of a second console to our instrument at St. Gabriel Church. This movable console is normally located in the corner of the Sanctuary of the Church and is a duplicate of the main console in the Gallery. It will allow ease of use for services that do not require the choir, better use with Cantors and much better judgement of the organ sound in the room. Because this room is not exceptionally large but enjoys an exceptional acoustic, this second console will be unusually useful. The new console was dedicated in concert on June 3 by Scott Dettra, Organist for the National Cathedral in Washington DC.
